As of 10/29/2008, 23.2% of the Top 100,000 eBay Sellers ranked by feedback are either NARU or Inactive.  From 5/25/2008 to 10/29/2008 (157 days), the total number of NARU or Inactive eBay Sellers ranked in the top 100,000 on SellerDome.com has increased nearly 25.5%.

The increase in inactivity has almost evenly impacted each group (Top 10, 100, 1K, 10K and 100K) of eBay’s Top Sellers and is detailed in the chart below.

In addition to the World-Wide and Country based rankings, SellerDome.com now updates and publishes daily rankings for Top Active eBay Sellers.  Active eBay Sellers are defined as registered users who have received feedback within the past month.  The following Active Only lists are currently available: World-Wide (Active) - top 350K, The United States (Active) - top 200K, Germany (Active) - top 50K, The United Kingdom (Active) - top 50K, France (Active) - top 7K, Australia (Active) - top 8K and Canada (Active) - top 6K.  To view the Active Only rankings, select the group with “(Active)” following the description from the Rankings list and press “Go”.  If an Inactive seller is searched while viewing an Active Only rankings list, no results will be returned.  Because the country based Active Only sellers on SellerDome.com are a subset of the World-Wide Active Only sellers, it is possible for a seller to be ranked Active World-Wide but not available in a country based Active Only ranking list.  This should only impact sellers ranked below +/- 400K.  Please send us your questions or feedback on this new functionality or any other feature of SellerDome.com.

Below is a chart showing the total number of sellers by main eBay Category and Averages for Feedback Rating, SellerDome.com Ranking, DSR 1 (Item as described), DSR 2 (Communication), DSR 3 (Shipping Time) and DSR 4 (Shipping and handling charges).  This chart is based on the top 500,000 sellers World-Wide who have their items listed on eBay.com (U.S. site only).  Categories with fewer than 500 sellers were excluded from the chart.  Feedback Ratings of 0% as well as 0.0 DSRs were also excluded from the averages.  The chart is organized by highest average Feedback Rating to lowest.

From 5/25/2008 to 7/16/2008 (52 days), the number of NARU and Inactive eBay Sellers (sellers with no feedback for the past month, past 6 months or past 12 months) ranked in the top 100,000 by feedback on SellerDome.com has increased nearly 15.1%. On 5/25/2008, 18.5% (18,514) of the Top 100,000 eBay Sellers were NARU or Inactive. Today, 21.3% (21,308) of the same group are NARU or Inactive.
 

As the chart below indicates, the increased NARU and Inactivity has impacted each group (Top 10, 100, 1K, 10K and 100K) of eBay’s Top Sellers.

Separate rankings are now being published and updated daily for the following countries: The United States (top 200K), Germany (top 75K), The United Kingdom (top 50K), France (top 7.5K), Australia (top 10K) and Canada (top 7.5K).  World-Wide rankings will still be published and will be the default rankings for SellerDome.com.  Simply select the country from the Rankings list and press “Go”.  This will switch the main Top eBay Sellers ranking table as well as Detailed User Information rankings to the designated country.  If a search is performed for a seller that is not registered in the designated country, it will not return results.  Because the country rankings are a subset of the World-Wide rankings, it is possible for a seller to be ranked World-Wide but not available in a country ranking list.  This should only impact sellers ranked below +/- 400K.  We hope this additionally functionality proves useful.  Please send us your questions or feedback on this new functionality or any other feature of SellerDome.com.

Because of processing time and limited resources, seller information is updated on a sliding scale.  The higher the seller is ranked, the more frequent the seller’s information is updated.  To help minimize the impact of infrequent updates on lower ranked sellers, SellerDome.com now queues sellers to be updated with each search on the site.  Updates should be completed and reflected on the site within 1 to 2 days.  The date seller information was last updated will continue to be posted on the Detailed User Information page.  Please provide us feedback on this new feature or any other aspect of SellerDome.com.

SellerDome.com is now tracking the average Detailed Seller Ratings for eBay’s Top Sellers.  The averages will be updated and published daily as part of the Detailed eBay Seller Statistics.  As with other metrics that are tracked, the average DSR’s will be broken down into 5 top eBay Seller groups: 10, 100, 1K, 10K and 100K.  Please provide us feedback if there other metrics you’d like included on SellerDome.com.

Based on the criteria most recently announced by eBay, SellerDome.com has determined only two sellers meet the strict Diamond PowerSeller requirements (98.0%+ rating, 4.8+ DSR’s, $500k+/month).  Details are shown in the table below:
 

Detailed information about each of these sellers along with the rest of eBay’s Top 100,000 Sellers can be found at SellerDome.com.

Users of SellerDome.com may now request average monthly sales data for any of the Top 100,000 eBay Sellers that sell on eBay.com.  Because of the processing time required to collect and analyze this data, it will be done offline.  Simply navigate to the Detailed Seller Information page for any of the Top 100,000 ranked eBay Sellers on SellerDome.com and click the link to request sales data.  In about 10 minutes, depending on other requests and server availability, the data should be available.  Information collected at this time includes:

• Average Monthly sales
• Average Item Sale Price
• Sell-Through Percentage
• Number of Listings per Month
• Number of Successful Listings per Month
• Total Number of Items Sold
• Total Number of Items Offered
• Number of Bids
• Average Bids per Listing
• Average Bids per Successful Listing

In the coming weeks, additional sales data should be made available and the amount of time necessary to process requests should decrease.  Feedback on this or any other feature of SellerDome.com is always welcome.

In addition to having the total number of items listed by eBay’s top sellers and the main category they list in, SellerDome.com has now added detailed listing information to the top 100,000 sellers.  By clicking on the seller name from any of the ranking pages, you will now be able to see all the main categories a seller sells in, many of the sub-categories, total items listed and the total items listed in each of the main and sub-categories.  A bar graph depicting the percentages of items listed in each category and sub-category is also displayed.  This information is updated on a regular basis and the age of the data is also published on the Detailed User Information page. 

With this information, you will be able to see who your competition is, how they rank and how many items they are currently listing.  Additionally, you can now see what the highest ranked sellers sell on eBay.  As always, please provide us feedback if we can improve this or any other feature of SellerDome.com.
